On November 25, 2015, the Annual General Meeting of the members of Jeunes Entreprises du Québec was held.

It was an opportunity to welcome our members and partners to our brand new premises at Place Ville-Marie.

Under the theme 53 years of history, the JEQ team had prepared an exhibition of photos recounting half a century of history, enriching experiences and inspiring paths of these thousands of young people, who over the years, by participating in a unique practical experience of managing a real company, have developed their skills as entrepreneurs and leaders.

The year 2014-2015 was a year of transition and renewal for young Québec companies: new team, new offices, new partners, new projects!

The permanent team presented to the meeting the assessment of the actions and activities held in the past year and an overview of upcoming projects. It is with ardour, conviction and passion that this new team delivered a powerful presentation to its attentive guests.

Congratulations to our young participants, thank you to our many precious volunteers, as well as to our financial partners who make it possible, year after year, to pursue and realize our educational mission for young Quebecers.

Victoriaville, March 16, 2015 – Suzanne Proulx, Executive Director of Jeunes entreprises Québec is proud to recognize the talent of the 120 young people aged 16 to 18 who gathered in Victoriaville this weekend to develop a business plan for a company of their choice.

These young people are supervised by a team of 30 adult facilitators, all volunteers for the Student Enterprise program and from the business community. Each of the youth delegates participated in the Student Enterprise program and was chosen by their company (by their peers) as a reward for the quality of their involvement.

“It is important for us to bring this entrepreneurial spirit to our young people. We are proud to be able to support them in developing a company. Who knows, they may find this to be the inspiration for a company that could be a Quebec flagship of tomorrow,” said Suzanne Proulx.

The business plan was the core activity of the congress. During these three days, each team had to develop a business plan that would allow a fictitious investor to maximize a $2,000,000 down payment. Each of the teams presented their project to the audience at the end of the congress through an oral presentation where creativity was in full swing!

“These young people constantly amaze us with their leadership, creativity and resourcefulness. They make us proud and make us want to do more and more to stimulate in them this desire to fulfill themselves as future entrepreneurs,” concluded Suzanne Proulx, Executive Director of Jeunes entreprises du Québec.
