OUR BUSINESS WORLD

Program description: This program was developed with the goal of introducing students to the business world. It uses an interactive approach and real-world exercises to address important questions including: What is a business? What impact does a business have on society? How do businesses evolve over time and how do they adapt to recent technology? Should I become an entrepreneur?
MORE THAN MONEY
Level: Grade 4, 5 and 6
Method: Virtual or in class
Workshop duration: 2 to 4 hours
Program description: The earlier students learn how to manage money, the greater their chances of lifelong financial success. The program teaches elementary students about earning, spending, sharing and saving money. Students will learn how to launch and manage a small company.
At the end of the program, students will have learned that good financial choices will impact their life positively. They will be more confident and able to take healthy financial decisions. They will also have learned the basics of entrepreneurship like choosing a good product or service, writing a business plan and successfully managing a company.
JUNIOR ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM
Level: Grade 5 and 6
Method: In class by teacher
Workshop duration: 2 to 3 hours by weeks during 12 weeks (minimum)
Program description: The Junior Entrepreneur Program is for Grade 5 and 6 teachers and students who want to explore what it’s like to be part of a business. This program comes with everything you need to experience the full business lifecycle (raw materials – production – sales).
Work Readiness
STRONGER TOGETHER: DIVERSITY IN ACTION

Workshop duration: 2 to 3 hours
Program description:This program is designed to prepare students for the job market, where they will be required to work as a team to reach common goals and work alongside others despite differences like race, gender, age, sexual orientation and socio-economic status. How can diversity be an asset rather than an obstacle in the workplace? This program encourages young people to develop a positive attitude toward diversity.
WORLD OF CHOICES
Level: All grades
Method: Virtual or in class
Workshop duration: 45 minutes to 2 hours
Program description: World of Choices brings students together with career mentors working in desired fields, industries and professions. In small sessions, students learn first-hand what it takes to be successful. Each student can participate in interactive sessions that will open up a world of choices for Canada’s youth.
Each session is allotted time for questions and interactive conversations.
This program clarifies career and educational pathways and students become actively engaged in designing a career path.
