Welcome Clara Boily,

New educational programs are available for free on the new JA Digital Campus platform. The programs are designed for teachers to do with their students and for self-directed learning. More programs are gradually being added to the platform.

1. In school, led by teachers:
Teachers deliver our training programs to their students, supported by free teaching materials (program guide, notebooks for students, game boxes for some programs). The materials are available in paper format—sent in advance to their school—or in digital format for some programs. They receive preparatory training from JA Quebec.
2. Virtual session, led by a volunteer from the business community:
Volunteers from the business community, trained by JA Quebec, deliver the programs online to students, using educational materials previously sent to schools or digital tools. If the situation permits, volunteers can also deliver the program in person at the school.
Also new! Students can do some of our activities online, as homework or for fun, by choosing the "self-directed learning" version of our programs on the new JA Digital Campus platform.

      Since September 2020:
More than 100 JA Quebec volunteers were trained to deliver our programs on financial literacy and entrepreneurship in primary and secondary schools in the Greater Montreal area and Quebec City. In the past few months, JA Quebec has remained proactive by offering access to new digital tools and delivering workshops online. Students can continue developing their knowledge and skills with practical workshops and business mentors.

Several new schools since fall now offer our programs: École secondaire Jeanne-Mance, École primaire Alice Parizeau, École secondaire Gérard Fillion, Polyvalente Benoît Vachon, and École de la Ribambelle.

• Won 1st place in the manufacturing/retail category at the Canadian Company of the Year championships hosted by JA Canada in July 2020. The judges noted the company's exceptional financial performance, their engaging presentation and their community-building skills.

• Successfully persevered and pivoted during the pandemic.

In addition, Arrière-Saison was then selected to participate in the JA Americas Company of the Year competition, which took place in December 2020.

Virtual Entrepreneurial Project
Because of the pandemic, we’ve turned this year’s extracurricular Company Program into the 8-week Virtual Entrepreneurial Project.

The free program began mid-February and takes place entirely online. In the program, Secondary 4 and 5 students create a realistic business plan with the help of mentors from the business community.

Virtual meetings are held once a week on Teams, on Tuesday or Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Contests and extra activities are also planned for the 8-week program.

The program is offered to students from many Quebec schools as well as home-schooled students (through Association québécoise pour l’éducation à domicile).
